Our Story
About Dimecraft
Every detail is intentional. We built Dimecraft to make your analysis and takeoffs as easy and mobile as the toolbelt on your hip.
It started with a simple problem. We encountered a friction point on the job that slowed us down, so we created a personal workaround to fix it. That workaround transformed into our vision: to build a construction technology platform that truly understands the trades. We noticed that too often, software is built for construction professionals without understanding the daily reality of the job site. We set out to change that. We are builders, we measure twice and cut once.
We serve the entire AEC spectrum — Architects, Engineers, and Contractors. We bridge the gap between the office and the field, creating tools that reflect the real-world needs of the people building our future. We are here for the pros who build smart and move fast.
“Welding technique that creates layered, visually appealing, coin like weld. Showcases skill and joins metal together.”
“Someone who is highly skilled in a manual trade or craft, building by hand, with care, precision, and expertise.”

Sohail Khan
Co-Founder, CTO
Sohail is a full-stack software engineer at Unity game engine, bringing deep expertise in 3D modeling, virtual reality, and augmented reality. His technical foundation is built experience from his time at start-ups and Blend, where he learned what it takes to deliver software at scale.
What sets Sohail apart is his rare combination of technical CAD and 3D modeling expertise applied to construction technology. He doesn't just design the development architecture, he understands user experience and engineering, understanding that the best products live at that intersection.
Growing up with a contractor father gave Sohail something software engineers lack: an understanding of the trades.
